Grand Hyatt Jeju vs Maison Glad Jeju: Compare the Four-Person Cost Curve

This is not a five-star-versus-five-star comparison. It tests what the third and fourth traveller add to the bill. Grand Hyatt’s 65m² Twin can package room space and guest pool access into one room contract. Maison Glad’s Premium Family Twin offers two double beds, but its 2026 Patio Pool is charged per person, per day. Lock the four-person room, pool, breakfast and shuttle before comparing a headline rate.

01|Lock a legal four-person room first

Grand Hyatt’s 65m² Twin has two 1.5m × 2m beds and allows up to four guests, with a maximum of three adults. It is a viable 2-adult, 2-child candidate—not automatic permission for four adults. Maison Glad’s OTA inventory shows Premium Family Twin with two double beds and four-person searches. Enter every adult and child age at checkout before comparing breakfast, pool and cancellation.

02|Pool economics diverge when four people enter

Grand Hyatt’s Sky Pool and Indoor Pool are guest facilities, currently listed 07:00–23:00. Maison Glad’s 2026 Patio Pool is a seasonal, per-person, per-day product: June adult/child KRW 9,000/6,000, July KRW 12,000/8,000, August KRW 15,000/10,000; ages 5–13 count as children and under-5s are free with proof. For two adults plus two eligible children in August, one pool day is KRW 50,000. Add the actual number of swim days to Maison Glad’s total.

03|Breakfast must also be normalized by headcount

Maison Glad’s Samdajeong breakfast runs 07:00–10:00, with current walk-in anchors of KRW 48,000 adult and KRW 28,000 child. A rate that covers only two breakfasts can erase a visible room-price gap. Grand Hyatt Club Access can include breakfast and other benefits, but Room Only, Bed & Breakfast and Club rates are not interchangeable products.

04|Free shuttle only matters when its clock fits

Grand Hyatt currently lists airport shuttle service 06:00–22:30. Maison Glad runs fixed airport-to-hotel departures at 10:30, 15:30 and 19:30, and hotel-to-airport at 09:30, 14:30 and 18:30; boarding closes five minutes before departure and seats may fill. If a Maison slot fits the flight, it can replace a taxi. If a family arriving at noon has to wait until 15:30, the “free” shuttle value is zero.

05|Compare the cost curve, not the brand

Grand Hyatt’s space does not add a separate charge for the fourth person once the legal Twin is booked. Maison Glad’s pool and possibly breakfast can add per-person cost. Grand Hyatt is stronger when four people will use the large room and pools repeatedly. Maison Glad can win when its legal Family Twin rate is meaningfully lower, the children are under five or will not swim, and the shuttle actually matches the flight.

06|Open OTAs only after the contracts match

  1. Enter the exact adult/child ages.
  2. Lock Twin or Family Twin, view, breakfast coverage, pool entitlement and cancellation.
  3. For Maison Glad, add the real pool and uncovered-breakfast headcount.
  4. Compare like-for-like tax-inclusive final totals.

07|Verdict: choose the four-person cost curve

Choose Grand Hyatt when room space is a hard requirement and the family will actually use the pools. Choose Maison Glad when the legal Family Twin remains substantially cheaper after adding the pool and breakfast people who will really use them, and its fixed shuttle fits. The decision order is: legal four-person room → headcount costs → shuttle timing → final total.
