Families often start by searching Jamsil hotels the moment Lotte World enters the itinerary. Sometimes that is the right move: you can start the day close to the park, give a tired child a realistic chance to rest, and avoid dragging everyone across Seoul after a long evening. But a one-night move also creates checkout, luggage storage, another check-in, a different room layout and one more place to repack. The useful question is not “Is Jamsil close to Lotte World?” It is “Does the second hotel keep working after the park closes?”
Put these four things on one page first

- Whether your child may need a quiet break or an early exit.
- Whether the evening after Lotte World and the following morning are still in southeast Seoul.
- Whether the hotel-change day collides with park entry or luggage handling.
Keep your original hotel when Lotte World is simply one full day
If your existing hotel is still useful before and after the park day, staying put is usually the cleaner choice. Leave earlier, manage breaks inside the park, eat before heading back and return to the same room everyone already understands. For a four- or five-day family trip, this preserves more flexibility than creating a new check-in for a single attraction.

A Jamsil night works when it serves both the evening and the next morning

If the next morning immediately sends you back to Hongdae, Myeongdong, Seoul Station or the airport, the Jamsil room may only serve one exhausted night. That can still be worth it, but now you must compare one avoided late-night journey with the cost of packing and moving. A nicer Jamsil hotel only matters if you have time to use it
A pool, breakfast, skyline view or larger public space can make one night more comfortable. They are not automatically worth paying for when you stay in the park until late and leave early the next morning. Count the hours you will actually be awake in the hotel. If the weather only changes one afternoon and the rest of the trip remains centered elsewhere, one hotel may still be simpler. If bad weather makes an early return likely and the next day remains in southeast Seoul, the nearby room gains more value.
Compare the room cost with the problems it removes
