SOTA’s current website lists Standard Queen and Deluxe Queen as Max 2; Club SOTA Queen as Max 3, Club SOTA Twin as Max 4, and Club SOTA Family as Max 6. The real divide isn’t “which one feels more like a Residence”—it’s whether the product can be extended upward with the Guest Count.

That’s what it is: Guest-count Cliff: 2 → 3 isn’t just a smooth extra-guest add-on; it can trigger Room disappears, Hotel disappears, Room category jumps, Bedding changes, and Total price recalculations all at once.

With only two people, the advantage that “SOTA can host more guests” goes to zero.

With only 2 guests, how many people Club SOTA Family can accommodate isn’t directly valuable to you. For a fair comparison, Reset: Urbanstay Studio/City/Twin vs SOTA Standard/Deluxe. Only when you clearly need a second activity space should you pull Club SOTA Queen into the comparison.

Separate the Layout Fact and the Capacity Fact.Earlier SOTA/ONDA room-type info can still be used to cross-check Club Queen/Twin as one bedroom + a living room, and Family as two bedrooms + a living room. But the check-in capacity limit from those days is out of date compared with the latest official website, so Current Occupancy must be based on the current SOTA Room List.

The biggest risk for 3 vs 4 people isn’t which room you choose—it’s where the remaining person will sleep.

SOTA’s official site currently lists Club Queen as Base 2 / Max 3, and Club Twin as Base 2 / Max 4. This only proves legal capacity; it doesn’t prove that there are originally 3 or 4 beds in the room.

Agoda currently lists Club Queen as 1 Queen Bed, Max 3, and states that if you exceed the Base Occupancy they charge an extra-person fee and that this is included with Bedding. It also lists Extra Bedding that can be reserved, while clearly stating Extra beds are not available. Booking.com also says Extra Bedding can be reserved for an additional fee, but the same page also says Cots/Extra Beds are not provided—and the Bedding prices on the two platforms don’t match exactly.

So you can only confirm:Max 3/4 holds. For the 3rd/4th person, the Bedding type, placement location, and whether it’s included in the Rate Plan you selected still need to be verified before payment.Don’t translate Extra Bedding yourself into Sofa Bed, Rollaway Bed, or Floor Futon.

When it’s 5–6 people, the situation changes again: SOTA’s official site currently shows Club SOTA Family as Max 6. Earlier product info said 2 Queen Beds, 2 Bedrooms + Living Room, but at that time the Max was still 4. This step should be “official room name → the sellable names on Booking/Agoda/Trip.com → Main Beds → Extra Bedding → Total” Product Matching, not continuing to force Urbanstay vs SOTA.

Contactless and the washing machine are similar—common advantages don’t need to be repeatedly added points.

Urbanstay’s official statement says all branches use contactless check-in, and the Seomyeon location has no traditional front desk. SOTA’s official guide also uses contactless check-in/out, but if you run into certain specific issues, they still direct guests to the front desk, KakaoTalk, or phone. Same label doesn’t mean the support boundary is the same.

Washing isn’t the deciding axis either. SOTA’s official guide includes instructions for using the in-room washing machine. Urbanstay’s Seomyeon also has residence appliances. Once both sides meet your washing needs, delete this difference.

The things that can truly end the comparison early, though, are Cooking.

SOTA’s current official Guest Guide explicitly says inside the guest room Cooking prohibited. Urbanstay Seomyeon’s official Kitchen Appliances Guide lists the induction, pots, tableware, and microwave, and restricts cooking of meat and fish dishes that produce heavy fumes.

If legal simple cooking in the room is a Hard Constraint, this point can override room size, lounge, breakfast, and some price differences. Residence, the Kitchen icon, and the Microwave cannot be translated by yourself into “you can cook.”

Only at this step do you open Booking, Agoda, and Trip.com.

This doesn’t qualify for a permanent Price Winner. Without the same travel dates, same number of guests, same cancellation terms, and the same bed requirements, the lowest price isn’t a meaningful comparison.

Remove the 3rd person, then add them back in.

Go back to 2 Adults first:Keep both options. Ask yourself: if it were only the two of us, would we pay extra for the additional partitioned space at SOTA? If not, let Urbanstay Studio keep comparing prices. If one person sleeps early while the other still wants to keep going, then the Club-level layout is what actually makes sense.

Now add the 3rd person back:If Urbanstay’s current single-room option disappears from the valid candidates, don’t try to bring it back. Your question has changed from “Urbanstay or SOTA” to “Which SOTA 3-person room—or which other Seomyeon three-person hotels.”
