Stanford Hotel & Resort Jeju: the ocean-view premium includes a stair cost

Garden View is on the first floor, Ocean View is on floors 2–3, and the hotel building has no elevator. That is not a footnote; it is the first booking filter.

The decision hinge is the FLOOR ACCESS GATE. The official property information places Deluxe Twin Garden View on 1F and Ocean View on 2–3F, and states that the hotel building has no elevator. The hotel itself recommends 1F Garden View for guests who have difficulty using stairs. That means the Ocean View premium only makes sense after everyone in your group can comfortably accept the floor access.

Use accessibility before view

  • Older travelers, stroller, heavy luggage or knee issues: start with 1F Garden View.
  • You actually plan to sit in the room and look at the sea: Ocean View can be worth considering, but only if stairs are not a burden.
  • Large suite: more space is not automatically better if it locks you into a higher floor.
  • Lowest rate: a no-view or lower-tier room is not the same product as Ocean View.

Floor and view are one transaction

Do not compare Garden View and Ocean View as if the only difference is scenery. Add the number of times you expect to return to the room, the weight of your luggage, whether someone may need to go back for a nap, and whether weather will make the stairs more annoying. A small view premium can become a poor deal if the floor changes how often you are willing to use the room.

The Bali Pool is seasonal value, not a reason to ignore the stairs

The source lists Bali Pool as a seasonal guest facility, with current operating periods and hours subject to weather and seasonal changes. Recheck your stay date. Pool value can disappear on some dates; the no-elevator condition does not.

Aewol must already be your base

Stanford is most useful when western Jeju and Aewol are already where you want to spend one or more days. If you have not chosen the region yet, start with where to stay in West Jeju. Do not move your trip to Aewol because one hotel photo looks good.

Final decision

Choose Stanford more readily when Aewol is already the right base, you will actually use the view or seasonal pool, and stairs are a non-issue. Choose 1F or another hotel when accessibility matters more than the view.
